Artist Statement Alice Y. Seguin Sawicki was born & raised in Timmins, Ontario. In 1981, Alice & her family moved to Englehart area and now reside in Chamberlain Twp. (Englehart area.)

As a self taught artist, Alice has attended numerous workshops to better her skills as an artist and has been painting for over twenty years. Many of her works hang in private collections throughout Northern Ontario and North American. Alice has also donated many of her Original Works and Hasty Note Cards to various organizations.

Watercolour is Alice’s preferred medium but occasionally enjoys experimenting with other media.

Alice has held several successful Solo and numerous Group Art Exhibitions over the years.

Due to illness to a family member, Alice was kept very busy as a caregiver for several years and is pleased to have time to paint again. For the last few years Alice has been instructing Watercolour Techniques at Jsano School of Arts; two weeks in August each summer. For more info call 705-567-9291 Ext. 634.

Alice also keeps busy writing a column; "Artist's Palette" for local paper call "The Voice... of Temiskaming Shores.
